Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Louisa, VA is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain critical electrical and mechanical systems and ensure 24/7 uptime. You will conduct daily rounds, monitor safety systems, and collaborate with on-site contractors.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, PM tasks, and documentation for change management, with shifts up to 12 hours and possible site travel. Join a diverse team supporting AWS data centers global infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical facilities maintenance and 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience, or Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
