Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to support mission critical facilities across AWS data centers.

The role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring high uptime for global digital services. You will work with a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, participate in change management, and adapt to varying site needs including travel between data centers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience or 2+ years of electrical facilities maintenance and 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
