Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission-critical infrastructure in California. This role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, cooling systems, and life-safety equipment.

You will contribute to keeping an extraordinary uptime and robust data center operations. You will work with AWS Infrastructure Services and a diverse team of engineers and facilities specialists,

Qualifications

• 2+ years in electrical and/or mechanical facilities maintenance.
• Experience reading procedures and engineering docs is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Monitor BMS/EPMS and assist in facility/rack events per SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Support change management with technical writing.
• On-site support for contractors and vendors; ensure compliance with practices and local laws.
