Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard mission-critical facilities and maintain an industry-leading 99.999% uptime.

You will operate and troubleshoot diverse electrical and mechanical systems across data centers, including standby generators, switchgear, UPS, PDU, chillers, and cooling towers. Qualifications

• 2+ years electrical and/or mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years Microsoft Office experience.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Install and decommission racks within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and drive to resolution, from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with practices and local regulations.
