Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot critical data center facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.

The role supports multiple sites and requires hands‑on work with generators, UPS, switchgear, and cooling systems. You will participate in rotating shifts, travel between sites as needed, and ensure safety standards and operational reliability while contributing to a world‑class uptime and service

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack‑level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs of equipment.
• Support change management with technical documentation.
