Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Manager Engineering Operations to lead data center engineering at one or more facilities. You will supervise facility engineers, implement SOPs and EOPs, and coordinate with remote hands, security, and janitorial teams to ensure reliable 24x7 operation.

You will oversee maintenance planning, MEP system performance, and incident response, driving continuous improvement and cost control while aligning with customer SLAs.

Qualifications

• 5 years related facility management experience in data center ops in a large-scale environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
• Proven construction, commissioning and operation of mission critical systems.
• Strong understanding of redundancy configurations (N+1, 2N, ATS/STS).
• Proficiency in reading MEP drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of structured cabling, networking, hardware installation.
• Vendor management and the ability to assess third-party work quality.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs and energy efficiency improvements.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance and repair of all mission critical equipment 24x7.
• Lead site engineers; ensure SOPs/SOOs/EOPs are followed and training provided.
• Coordinate with remote hands, security and janitorial teams.
• Review and approve maintenance plans; ensure reliability of critical loads.
• Coordinate CMMS work orders and change management processes.
• Manage budgets, forecasting and expense reporting with Real Estate team.
• Monitor trends, incidents and root causes; provide executive summaries.
• Evaluate vendor performance and enforce Digital Realty standards.
