Job summary

Applied Digital is seeking an Electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead electrical design for its data center projects. The role focuses on medium voltage distribution, emergency generators, UPS systems, and automation, collaborating with internal managers and external consultants to ensure reliable, efficient HPC centers.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of data center design experience, and strong CAD and simulation skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
PE license preferred, but not required.
5+ years of experience designing electrical systems for data centers.
Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems for data centers, including MV distribution, generators, UPS, and automation.
Create technical specs and drawings for contractors and construction teams.
Ensure designs comply with codes and standards.
Incorporate high-reliability solutions to minimize downtime.
Assist in vendor evaluation for electrical equipment and components.
Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for reliability and uptime.
Coordinate with architects and engineers for seamless system integration.
Maintain design documents and revisions.
Provide technical support during construction and installation.
