  • Technical Specifications: Participate in the creation of comprehensive technical specifications and engineering drawings that clearly outline the electrical system requirements for contractors and construction teams.
  • Compliance: Ensure all electrical designs comply with local building codes, industry standards, and regulations.
  • High Reliabolity: Incorporate highly reliable technologies and practices into the design to minimize the opportunity for power downtime of the data center.
  • Vendor Selection: Participate in the evaluation and selection of vendors and suppliers for electrical equipment and components, considering quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks associated with electrical system designs and develop mitigation plans to ensure data center reliability and target uptime.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with architects, electrical & mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with the overall data center design.
  • Documentation Control: Maintain accurate records of design changes, specifications, and engineering documents throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Assurance: Provide technical support during the construction and installation of electrical systems to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred, but not required.
  • Proven experience in designing electrical systems for data center facilities. 5 years
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and simulation tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of UPS systems, emergency generators, and medium voltage distribution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities.
