Applied Digital is seeking an Electrical SME to lead electrical infrastructure design for advanced data centers. The role focuses on medium-voltage distribution, emergency generators, and UPS systems to ensure high reliability and efficiency.

The successful candidate will work with internal design managers and external consultants, participating in vendor selection and risk mitigation while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Remote work options are available for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred, but not required.
• 5 years of experience designing electrical systems for data center facilities.
• Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.
• In-depth knowledge of UPS systems, emergency generators, and medium voltage distribution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and project management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• System Design: develop detailed designs for data center electrical systems, including MV distribution, emergency generators, UPS, and automation.
• Technical Specifications: create technical specs and drawings for contractors and construction teams.
• Compliance: ensure designs comply with codes and standards.
• High Reliability: incorporate reliable technologies to minimize downtime.
• Vendor Selection: evaluate vendors for quality, reliability, and cost.
• Risk Assessment: identify risks and mitigation plans for uptime.
• Project Coordination: coordinate with architects and engineers for integration.
• Documentation Control: maintain records of design changes and documents.
• Quality Assurance: provide tech support during construction to meet specs and standards.
