Job summary

Rackspace is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to serve as the Subject Matter Expert for electrical systems in our data center environments. You will lead design, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management of critical power infrastructure while ensuring uptime, reliability, and scalability.

Responsibilities include capacity planning, equipment specification, submittal reviews, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to drive technical excellence and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Deep understanding of critical power systems and electrical distribution architecture.
  • Experience with operation and maintenance of mission‑critical electrical infrastructure.
  • Ability to perform electrical load calculations and capacity analysis.
  • Proficient in reading construction drawings and submittal documents (AutoCAD/Visio).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical authority for electrical infrastructure within the data center environment.
  • Lead troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and resolution of electrical infrastructure issues.
  • Manage electrical capacity planning for existing and future infrastructure growth.
  • Review and approve electrical equipment submittals and technical documentation.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and turnover activities for electrical projects.
