Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Advanced Manufacturing group to contribute to data center facility design, power distribution, UPS, grounding, lighting, and low voltage systems. The role includes collaboration with multi‑disciplinary teams and direct interaction with clients and contractors to deliver construction documents.

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required, with 3+ years in medium/low voltage distribution and industrial facility design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
• 3+ years in engineering design of medium/low voltage distribution, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design.
• Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
• NFPA 70 (NEC) knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design for data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications.
• Contribute to team technical collaboration and perform quality reviews of design packages.
• Interact with client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site.
• Manage quality, scope, budget and schedule of design projects.
