Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Senior Development Project Engineer to lead design, preconstruction, and construction for assigned data center projects. You will manage budgets, schedules, and communications with facilities, contractors, designers, and operations teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Ideal candidates have a background in commercial construction with CM @ Risk or design-build delivery, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in science or engineering.
• 3+ years in commercial construction with Lump Sum, CM @ Risk, or Design-Build delivery.
• Proficient in PowerPoint for executive updates and Excel for budgets.
• Be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, preconstruction, and construction activities on assigned projects.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and status reports for multiple campuses.
• Create development program master plans and communicate updates for executive reviews.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, design teams, and contractors to ensure timely completion.
• Review pay applications and change orders; manage procurement processes.
