Job summary

SSOE seeks a Project Manager for Data Centers Design to lead planning, execution, and delivery of high‑tech facilities across multiple U.S. locations including Hillsboro, OR.

You will direct multidisciplinary teams from concept through startup, balancing scope, schedule, budget, and risk to satisfy demanding clients. You will collaborate with in‑house design teams and clients, manage complex stakeholder needs, and drive project delivery from strategy through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or 4+ years of directly applicable experience.
• At least 5 years of experience managing projects in Engineering and Construction.
• Proven experience managing the design or construction of data center projects.
• Knowledge of contract management, pre-construction, renovations, demolition, new construction building systems/components and technology.
• Experience with multi-office projects with remote teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to project locations; valid driver's license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline projects across all phases, ensuring effective team development, coordination, and performance.
• Manage client relationships to exceed expectations and serve as the primary point of contact for project delivery.
• Define project scope, develop work plans, allocate resources, and align team capabilities with project needs.
• Execute projects within approved budget, funding, and schedule, in accordance with the Project Execution Plan.
• Oversee technical, cost, and schedule performance ensuring quality and contractual compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and keep leadership informed of issues.
• Facilitate change management by aligning with clients on scope and timing.
• Coordinate meetings, maintain documentation, and communicate with all stakeholders.
• Approve project documents, monitor progress, and generate client reports as required.
• Manage invoicing and financial reports, supported by accounting staff.
• Manage contracts for external consultants and services.
• Mentor project managers and support audits and corrective actions.
• Assist in developing marketing presentations; pursue new business opportunities.
