Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Controls Technician to support Service & Construction of BMS and EPMS within AWS data centers. You will install, calibrate, and commission sensors and controllers, perform diagnostics, and collaborate with Facilities teams to ensure reliable building automation.

You will contribute to start-up activities, participate in factory tests, and uphold safety practices while supporting multiple data centers with evolving control systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or trade cert with 1+ years controls experience OR 3+ years controls experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with low voltage controls, meters, devices, sensors, relays, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems in data centers or mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, service, and upgrade BMS and EPMS systems across data centers.
• Mentor Facilities team members on BMS/EPMS operation and control.
• Manage small to mid-sized data center projects and programs.
• Perform point-to-point checkouts between field devices and controllers.
• Troubleshoot and maintain BMS/EPMS programming code and hardware.
• Install, configure, calibrate sensors, and test communications between devices.
