Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Controls Technician to support the Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) within AWS data centers.

You will install, test, troubleshoot, and startup control systems, while collaborating with data center teams to ensure reliability and safety. You will participate in commissioning, field sensor calibration, vendor coordination, and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years in industrial/HVAC controls or 6+ years without a degree.
• Experience with low voltage controls, wiring, networking, and related hardware.
• Basic ability to read electrical schematics and control diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, service, and upgrade BMS/EPMS systems across data centers.
• Mentor Facilities team members on BMS/EPMS operations.
• Manage small to medium projects and programs.
• Perform point-to-point checkouts between field devices and controllers.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain BMS/EPMS hardware and software.
• Coordinate server and network provisioning for control systems.
• Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics and drawings.
• Supervise low-voltage electrical contractors as required.
