Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Global Services is seeking a Controls Technician to support the Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) within AWS data centers. You will install, test, troubleshoot and startup equipment, verify field devices, and configure networked controllers.

The role requires reading electrical schematics, calibrating sensors, coordinating with low voltage contractors, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate’s degree or certified training in a related technical field is preferred.
• Industry experience in controls or HVAC controls is expected.
• Experience with low voltage controls, wiring, networking, and field devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform field installations, testing, and startup of BMS and EPMS system deployments in data centers.
• Conduct point-to-point checkouts between field devices and controllers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot instrumentation, calibrate sensors, and configure networks.
• Configure and test third-party device communication with controllers or servers.
• Read electrical schematics and control panel drawings to guide work.
• Ensure safety practices on site and support after-hours emergencies.
