Job summary

Amazon’s AWS Data Center Controls Engineering team seeks a Controls Technician to support the building automation systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS) in our data centers. You will install, test, and troubleshoot industrial controls equipment, sensors, and networking, while leading small projects and partnering with facilities staff.

You will deploy and calibrate sensors, read schematics, ensure safety, and participate in factory tests.

Qualifications

High school or equivalent diploma required.
Associate’s degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field with 1+ years of relevant industrial Controls or HVAC controls experience, OR 3+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.
1+ years of experience with low voltage controls, wiring, networking signals, electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Deploy, service, and upgrade BMS and EPMS systems across data centers.
Mentor Facilities team members on BMS/EPMS operation and control.
Manage small to medium-sized projects and programs.
Perform point-to-point checkouts between field devices and controllers.
Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance of BMS/EPMS code and hardware.
Provision servers, controllers, industrial PCs, and network configurations with testing.
Install, replace, configure, and calibrate sensors.
Interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams for closed-loop control.
