Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a senior controls professional to troubleshoot, manage projects and maintain BMS and EPMS in our data centers. You will work with a team of experts to innovate controls, review quarterly maintenance, and govern scope, schedule and budgets for improvement projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industrial controls in critical environments, strong project/vendor management experience, and a degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent engineering science plus 5 years of relevant controls experience, OR 10 years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments (data centers, pharma, manufacturing, oil & gas, etc.).
• 4+ years of general project or vendor management experience related to construction and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis or Corrective Action for BMS and EPMS issues in AWS data centers.
• Train and assist internal customers with BMS/EPMS design, configuration, validation, installation and operation.
• Provide technical assistance and support to operations during data center life cycle.
• Review maintenance results and resolve action items for BMS/EPMS.
• Develop project scope, schedule, budget and LOE for BMS/EPMS projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, finance and execution of BMS/EPMS projects in AWS data centers.
• Assist in procurement activities including RFIs, bids, and PO issuance.
• Participate in AWS global on-call for BMS/EPMS support.
• Attend project meetings and report status to Controls and stakeholders management.
• Support commissioning activities in data centers.
• Review and iterate on SOO and feedback to design team.
• Develop and modify controls logic programming and GUIs.
• Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate challenging situations.
• Financially manage BMS and EPMS service contracts.
• Visit in-operation data centers to troubleshoot and supervise vendor work.
