Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Controls Engineer to troubleshoot, manage, and optimize BMS and EPMS across in-service data centers. You will coordinate with operations, design teams, and vendors to ensure reliable electrical and mechanical infrastructure.

The role involves project scoping, scheduling, budgeting, and on-site troubleshooting, with opportunities to advance within the controls organization and contribute to global initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent engineering science plus 5 years of relevant controls experience, OR 10 years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments (data centers, pharma, manufacturing, oil & gas, etc.).
• 4+ years of general project or vendor management experience (RFPs, bidding, change orders, quality control).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis for BMS and EPMS issues in AWS data centers.
• Train and assist internal customers with design, configuration, validation, installation and operation of BMS/EPMS.
• Provide technical assistance and support to operations during life cycle of the data center.
• Review maintenances for BMS/EPMS and implement actions to resolve items.
• Develop BMS/EPMS project scopes, schedules, budgets and LOE.
• Manage scope, schedule, finance and execution of improvements in AWS data centers.
• Assist in procurement activities including RFQs, vendor responses and PO issuance.
• Participate in AWS global on-call schedule to provide immediate BMS/EPMS support.
