Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Controls Engineer to troubleshoot and manage BMS and EPMS in our data centers. You will lead root-cause analysis, coordinate with operations, and drive improvements across electrical and mechanical systems.

Candidates should have 5+ years in industrial controls in critical environments, plus a degree in engineering or equivalent experience. Travel to in-operation data centers is expected as part of scope.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or 10+ years in controls required.
• 5+ years in industrial controls in critical environments.
• 4+ years of project/vendor management in construction.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis for BMS/EPMS issues in AWS data centers.
• Train internal customers on BMS/EPMS configuration, validation and operation.
• Provide technical support to operations during data center life cycle.
• Review quarterly maintenance items and ensure timely resolution.
• Develop project scope, schedule, budget and LOE for BMS/EPMS projects.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and finances for improvements in AWS data centers.
• Assist in procurement activities: RFQ/RFPs, vendor proposals, PO issuance.
• Participate in AWS on-call schedule for immediate BMS/EPMS support.
• Coordinate project meetings and report status to Controls management.
• Support commissioning activities and review SOO feedback with design teams.
• Develop/modify control logic and HMI interfaces.
• Navigate multiple stakeholder requirements and ensure compliance with codes.
