Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking a controls engineer to lead the design, configuration, validation, installation and operation of BMS and EPMS systems in AWS data centers.

You will troubleshoot, manage projects, and maintain power monitoring and building management systems across multiple data center sites. The role requires experience in industrial controls, SCADA, and HVAC systems, with strong vendor management and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering plus 5+ years in industrial controls.
• Experience with HVAC controls, electrical SCADA, and industrial communication protocols.
• PE or PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist internal customers with BMS/EPMS systems design, installation and operation.
• Provide technical support to data center operations during lifecycle.
• Develop project scope, schedule, and LOE for BMS/EPMS projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget and execution of BMS/EPMS improvements in AWS data centers.
• Participate in procurement activities including RFI/RFPs and vendor proposals.
• Attend project meetings and report status to controls leadership.
