Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced controls engineer to design, implement and monitor BMS and EPMS systems across AWS data centers. You will lead projects, develop scopes and budgets, and coordinate with internal customers, vendors and operations to ensure reliable energy management and performance.

Expect on-site work in Pennsylvania with occasional travel. The role emphasizes engineering rigor, project management and a proactive approach to maintaining critical infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of industrial controls and automation experience.
• 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience (RFPs, bids, change orders, QC, RFI/submittals).
• Master’s degree or 10+ years of controls experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist internal customers with BMS and EPMS systems.
• Provide technical assistance during data center life cycle.
• Review quarterly maintenance results and drive resolution.
• Develop project scope, schedule, budget, LOE for BMS/EPMS initiatives.
• Manage scope, schedule, finance and execution of BMS/EPMS projects.
• Procurement support including RFQs, vendor reviews, PO issuance.
• Participate in on-call schedule for data centers.
• Attend meetings and report status to Controls management.
• Support commissioning activities and SOO feedback to design team.
• Develop and modify controls logic programming and GUIs.
• Visit data centers to troubleshoot and supervise vendor work.
• Manage service contracts and stakeholder expectations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

10+ years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree

Ability to manage multiple stakeholder deliverables
