Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Berwick, PA, seeks an experienced Industrial Controls Engineer to own BMS and EPMS projects within AWS data centers. You will help design, configure, install, commission, and operate critical control systems, collaborating with operations teams and vendors to meet project goals.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial controls, strong vendor management, and a willingness to visit in-operation data centers in the region. Base salary is competitive with AWS benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial controls and automation experience.
• 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management work in construction and project execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent plus 5+ years of relevant controls experience, OR 10+ years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist internal customers and stakeholders with the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation of BMS and EPMS systems.
• Provide technical assistance and support to operations during life cycle of the data center.
• Review results and action items from the quarterly maintenances for BMS and EPMS and take actions to get them resolved.
• Develop BMS & EPMS projects scope of work, schedule, budget, and LOE to projects requested by customers and stakeholders.
• Manage scope, schedule, finance and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects in AWS data centers.
• Assist in procurement related activities including RFQ/RFPs, responding to RFI/submittals, review of vendor proposals and issuance of purchase orders.
