Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Sr. Controls Engineer for Data Center Capacity Delivery in Herndon, VA. You will lead design, configuration, validation, and operation of BMS/EPMS systems across AWS data centers, coordinating with operations and stakeholders.

You will drive project scope, schedule, and LOE, supervise procurement activities, and participate in on-call support. Strong background in industrial controls and data center infrastructure is essential.

Qualifications

• Data center delivery experience including design, commissioning and construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; 10+ years in controls, or 15+ years without a degree.
• 10+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments.
• 9+ years of project or vendor management in construction and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist internal customers with BMS and EPMS systems configuration, validation, installation and operation.
• Provide technical support to operations through life cycle of the data center; review quarterly maintenance results and resolve actions.
• Develop scope, schedule, budget and LOE for BMS/EPMS projects; manage scope, schedule, finance and execution.
• Assist in procurement activities and vendor communications; issue purchase orders.
• Attend on-call schedule and report project status to stakeholders and management.
• Support commissioning activities and iterate on SOO; develop control logic and HMI interfaces.
• Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate challenging situations.
