Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a CSA Construction Technical Services Specialist for our Corpus Christi, TX project. The role focuses on on-site technical interpretation of drawings, coordinating with engineering teams, and ensuring revision control and change management on complex datacenter construction projects.

Ideal candidates bring 4–10 years of civil/structural/construction management experience, strong reading of drawings, and effective communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–7 years of experience in Civil, Structural, or Architectural engineering; or 8–10 years in construction management of heavy-industrial facilities including datacenters.
• Basic understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes, and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Effective oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Resolve in-progress issues related to technical interpretation of drawings and specifications, expediting responses as needed.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering documents and changing management inputs.
• Engage in the permitting process with AHJs and coordinate with field design revision.
• Coordinate with Design-Build contractors as projects move to the field.
• Ensure revision control for construction documents and that contractors have latest revisions.
• Manage information related to design changes and field revisions.
• Lead in response to technical deviation requests within approved processes.
• Collaborate with Field Quality and NCR resolution teams.
• Mentor junior team members toward project objectives.
