Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a CSA Construction Technical Services Specialist for our Corpus Christi, TX project. You will work on world-class data center construction, resolving technical issues, interpreting drawings, and coordinating with home office and clients.

The role requires 4–7 years in civil/structural/architectural engineering or 8–10 years in construction management of heavy-industrial facilities including datacenters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Certified technical training or professional certification is a plus.
• Strong reading of engineering drawings and specifications required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills essential.
• Experience in civil/structural/architectural engineering domains beneficial.
• 8–10 years in heavy-industrial construction including datacenters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve in-progress issues, disputes related to drawings and specs; coordinate with home office/engineers to expedite responses.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting released documents, specs, and drawings; input to change management.
• Engage in permitting processes with AHJs and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with Design-Build contractors as projects move to field.
• Ensure revision control for construction documents and timely information on design changes.
