Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a CSA Construction Technical Services Specialist for a Corpus Christi, TX data center project. You will resolve technical interpretation issues, liaise with home office engineering and client representatives, and provide on-site support for interpreting documents and drawings.

You’ll engage with AHJs, coordinate with Design-Build contractors, and ensure revision control and timely communication of changes. Mentorship and leadership are part of the role as you guide the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.

Responsibilities

• Engage in resolving in-progress issues related to technical interpretation of drawings and specs.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering released documents and drawings.
• Engage in the Permitting process with authorities having jurisdiction.
• Work with Design-Build contractors once their efforts move to the field.
• Communicate with subcontractors to manage drawings and documents revision-controlled.
• Ensure revision control is in place for all construction documents.
• Manage changes in design and installation and communicate timely information.
• Work with field sketch/redline process for changes.
• Coordinate with Project Controls and Construction on Field Design Revision processes.
• Act as technically competent lead in response to spec deviations.
• Resolve Nonconformities with Field Quality and Home Office Engineering.
• Provide mentorship to team members.
