The role requires 4–7 years in civil/structural engineering or 8–10 years in heavy-industrial/construction management, plus a bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• Effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve in-progress issues and expedite home office/engineer responses to meet project needs.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering documents, specs, and drawings, including change management input.
• Engage in the Permitting process with AHJs.
• Work with Design-Build contractors in the field.
• Communicate with subcontractors to manage drawings and documents revision-controlled.
• Ensure revision control is in place for all construction documents.
• Ensure contractors have latest revisions to construction documents.
• Mange, control, and communicate changes in design and installation.
• Follow field sketch/redline process for changes.
• Coordinate with Project Controls and Construction on Field Design Revision processes.
• Act as technically competent lead for spec deviation responses.
• Collaborate with Field Quality, contractor, and Home Office Engineering to resolve NCRs.
• Provide mentorship to subordinate team members.
