Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a CSA Construction Technical Services Specialist Lead for a Corpus Christi, TX project. You will provide on-site leadership in interpreting drawings and specifications, coordinate with home office engineers and clients, and guide the team through construction document control and change management.

The role emphasizes collaboration with field teams, AHJs, and external engineering partners, with a hybrid work model allowing site and remote work.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Civil/Structural/Architectural engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities including datacenters
• Understanding construction means, methods, codes, and standards
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• Effective oral and written communication
• Ability to read and understand Civil/Structural/Architectural drawings

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving in-progress issues related to drawings and specifications; expediting home office responses as needed
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside firms, and client representatives
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering documents and drawings, including input to change management
• Engage in permitting processes and with AHJs
• Lead the construction document management process and revision control
• Mentor and guide the team toward objectives
• Coordinate with field quality, contractor and home office engineering to resolve NCRs
