Job summary

Jacobs in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a CSA Construction Technical Services Specialist Lead to provide leadership on drawings, specifications, and field interpretation for data center projects. You will liaise with home office engineering, outside firms, and client representatives, and support the change management process.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Civil/Structural/Architectural engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy‑industrial facilities including life sciences and datacenters.
• Understanding of construction‑oriented means, methods, codes, and standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, including certified technical training.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and understand Civil/Structural/Architectural engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving in‑progress issues related to drawings and specifications; clarify and expedite responses as needed.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on‑site technical support interpreting released documents, specifications, and drawings; input to change management.
• Engage in the Permitting process with AHJs.
• Work with Design‑Build contractors in the field.
• Lead the construction document management process and revision control.
• Provide leadership and guidance through a construction document control lead.
• Address specification deviations and NCRs with project teams.
• Mentor and guide the team toward project objectives.
