Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a CSA Construction Technical Services Specialist for a Corpus Christi, TX project focused on data center construction. You will provide on-site technical interpretation of drawings and specifications, coordinate with home office and outside engineers, and support field teams through revision control and change processes.

You’ll engage with AHJs, coordinate with Design‑Build contractors, and mentor junior staff while ensuring adherence to project standards and timely

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, including certified technical training
• Minimum 4-7 years of experience in Civil, Structural, or Architectural engineering or 8-10 years in construction management of heavy‑industrial facilities including datacenters
• Effective oral and written communication
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• A basic understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes, and standards

Responsibilities

• Engage in resolving in-progress issues related to technical interpretation of drawings and specifications; clarify and expedite responses from home office/responsible engineers
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside firms, and client representatives
• Provide On-site technical support interpreting engineering documents and drawings, including input to change management
• Engage in the Permitting process with AHJs
• Work with Design‑Build contractors in the field
• Ensure revision control and timely information for construction documents
• Lead in response to requests for specification deviation; resolve NCRs with Field Quality and Home Office Engineering
• Mentor and guide team members toward objectives
