Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer for on-site work in Wharton, TX. You will be on the construction site daily, coordinating with construction managers and vendors to ensure fast, high-quality delivery of data center projects.

You will own document control, RFIs, change orders, and milestone updates, collaborating with Operations, Networking, and Controls teams to maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 4+ years of relevant work in a data center or other critical environment experience.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel experience.

Responsibilities

• Leading cross-functional communication and coordination between regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Developing and maintaining tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders.
• Evaluating Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness, necessity, and risk assessment.
• Managing vendor onboarding processes, including security credentialing and orientation programs.
