Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Construction Manager to lead on-site construction activities for AWS data centers in Wharton, TX.

You will own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget, coordinating with Operations, Networking, Controls and Security teams to ensure safe, cost-efficient builds. You will drive vendor management, manage submittals, RFIs, changes, and invoicing, and report key metrics daily.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction project management and oversight of construction activities for new builds or capital projects, owning scope, quality, schedule and budget.
• Direct interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Conduct bid evaluations and negotiations with contractors; develop project scope and RFPs.
• Perform financial analysis of construction and manage projects to enhance data center resiliency.
