Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join the onsite Construction Management team. You will coordinate with contractors, vendors and internal teams to ensure safe, timely delivery of data center infrastructure across regional sites.

You will manage documentation, track progress, and support design changes and quality checks while collaborating with Operations, Networking and Security teams to uphold AWS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in data center or mission critical facilities.
• Vendor management experience.
• 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• Experience in construction or project management.

Responsibilities

• Establishing communication and coordination across a data center region’s general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain a tracking system for design changes, RFIs, and change orders and dashboard for regional leadership review.
• Onboarding new vendors for badging and orientation.
• Updating project management software with milestone dates, correspondence, and documents.
• Monitor delivery of owner furnished material to site.
• Compiling and storing construction data from vendors.
• Managing checklist including various safety and quality checks.
