Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Development Project Engineer (Data Center Construction) to support design, preconstruction and construction activities on assigned projects. You will interact daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers and Operations staff to drive successful campus development.

You will assist with budgets, schedules and status reporting, collaborate on master development programs, and help manage entitlement, permitting and procurement tasks across multiple sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite for program updates and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Assist Development leadership and Project Manager with day to day activities.
• Assist with multiple projects on a campus and maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Prepare development program updates for executive reviews.
• Collaborate with design, procurement and construction teams on master development programs.
• Assist with entitlement and permitting needs for assigned sites.
• Support cost estimates and pricing negotiations for services.
• Coordinate with procurement on equipment procurement and delivery.
• Ensure submittals are coordinated with site stakeholders.
• Monitor project budgets and cost-to-date against overall budgets.
• Review schedules and manage teams toward on-time completion.
• Engage in liaison activities with key stakeholders and represent QTS interests in meetings.
