Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Development Program Manager (Data Center Construction) to lead design, pre-construction and construction activities across projects. You will interact daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, and Operations staff, delivering on budget and schedule while driving stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities include master development planning, entitlements, multi-phased site development, procurement coordination, and executive-level program updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Eight or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for program updates and Excel for budgets.
• Be able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects on a campus and maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Create monthly development program updates for executive reviews and assist decision making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a master development program and capital budget.
• Oversee entitlement and permitting needs for site projects.
• Implement multi-phased site development plans and maintain a dynamic campus master plan.
• Write scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning and participate in procurement.
• Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction and commissioning services.
• Coordinate equipment procurement and delivery with the strategic procurement team.
• Ensure submittals are coordinated with site stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets and cost-to-date against the overall project budget.
• Establish schedules and manage teams to on-time completion.
• Review monthly pay apps from contractors and approve.
• Review change order requests and negotiate pricing.
• Establish site security procedures with the security team.
• Develop deployment plans and communicate with staff involved.
• Collaborate with Sales Eng and Product teams for custom deals within schedule and budget.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and represent QTS in OAC meetings.
• Support due diligence for new sites and improve project management processes.
