Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Project Engineer to manage cross-functional communication on construction projects and coordinate design changes, RFIs and vendor onboarding on site.

You will work closely with operations, controls, and security teams to ensure timely delivery of data center buildouts. The role requires 3+ years in vendor management and 5+ years in data center engineering or related operations, with a focus on safety, quality, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
• 4+ years of experience in data center or other critical environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional communication between regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless information flow and standardized procedures.
• Develop and maintain tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders with dashboards for leadership review.
• Evaluate Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness, necessity, and risk.
• Coordinate vendor onboarding, including security credentialing and orientation programs.
• Manage on-site communications, RFI handling, and document control with project schedules.
• Coordinate owner-furnished material deliveries to ensure timely arrival at sites.
• Establish and manage a centralized repository for contractor data and project documents.
• Oversee QA programs with checklists, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
