Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to support construction on AWS data centers. You will collaborate with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to deliver high-quality facilities on time.

You will manage document workflows, RFIs, change orders, and information requests while coordinating with vendors and internal teams in a fast-paced onsite environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience
• 4+ years of data center or other critical environment experience
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Responsibilities

• Leading cross-functional communication and coordination between regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring seamless information flow for construction protocols
• Developing and maintaining tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders with dashboards for leadership review
• Evaluating Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness and risk
• Managing vendor onboarding, including security credentialing and orientation programs
• Maintaining project management software with milestone updates and documentation control
• Coordinating owner-furnished material deliveries to sites
• Establishing a centralized repository for contractor-supplied construction data
• Overseeing quality assurance programs with checklists and safety protocols
