Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Construction Manager to lead construction project management for new builds and capital projects.

You will own scope, quality, schedule, and budget, interfacing with general contractors and vendors to deliver data center infrastructure on time and within cost. You will drive constructability reviews, manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders, and report metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives increasing data center resiliency.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs.
• Manage construction documents including submittal review, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction project quality control.
• Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management.
• Drive teams to perform troubleshooting and root-cause failure analysis.
• Be a leader within the group and across teams supporting the data center.
