Jacobs is seeking a Senior Construction Manager for a data center project in Spartanburg, SC. You will lead pre-construction and construction oversight, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality across contractors and vendors.

The role requires 12+ years in large-scale construction, a engineering/CM degree, and robust leadership. Proficiency with BIM, lean methods, and strong communication are essential; OSHA30 or willingness to obtain within 60 days.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in large building/civil projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
• Experience leading data center projects and managing subs/vendor teams.
• Data center experience and upfits preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA70E.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools.
• Ability to read contracts, drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Experience with BIM, lean methods, and cutting-edge tech.
• OSHA 30 or willingness to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction and construction review for schedule/quality.
• Guide owners and contractors; review change orders and invoicing.
• Audit installed quantities; support schedule updates.
• Conduct daily/weekly contractor meetings; drive safety and cost control.
• Plan site logistics; develop constructability and commissioning plans.
• Mentor field staff and support innovative modular solutions.
