Job summary

Jacobs in Spartanburg, SC seeks a Senior Construction Manager to lead pre-construction and construction for a data center project valued at $10M TIC or more. You will oversee contractor performance, schedule, safety, and cost, and report to Jacobs management.

Requires at least 12 years in large building or civil projects, a bachelor's in engineering or construction management, data center experience, and familiarity with BIM, LEAN, NFPA70E, and OSHA 30. Onsite role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience on large building or civil projects
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or equivalent
• Experience leading a Data Center project team and managing subcontractors/vendors
• Data Center experience and/or data center upfits
• Knowledge of NFPA70E, OSHA 30 or willingness to obtain within 60 days

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction planning and construction of data center projects
• Review contractor performance for schedule, quality, and cost
• Monitor progress and provide detailed reporting to Owners and Jacobs management
• Lead daily/weekly contractor meetings to drive safety, schedule, cost and change management
• Lead construction scheduling (critical path) and commissioning planning
• Implement BIM, Lean principles, and other leading-edge technologies
• Establish defect notification/remediation processes with contractors
