Job summary

Jacobs in New York seeks a Manager of Construction (MOC) – Data Center Operations to lead delivery of a large EPCMV portfolio for a Tier-1 client. You will interface between projects and the business, guiding pre-construction and execution from start to closeout.

This role manages staffing, safety, cost, schedule, and quality, collaborates with sales, and provides leadership across multiple sites while championing lean methods and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience managing construction projects related to data centers, industrial and/or commercial facilities
• Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building
• Experience leading very-large scale green-field projects
• Ability to manage trade partners at principal levels and lead site managers
• OSHA 30 training and safety focus with HSE planning
• Certifications: CCM, PE, or PMP
• Familiarity with Polaris, revenue recognition, project reviews and planning
• Working knowledge of the sales process and client presentations
• Ability to travel to project sites

Responsibilities

• Oversee the project delivery of a large EPCM portfolio for a Tier-1 Data Center client.
• Interface with sales to identify staffing opportunities and support negotiations of contracts and terms.
• Provide leadership for health, safety, cost, schedule, and quality across projects.
• Mentor site managers and construction teams; manage performance reviews and staffing.
