Job summary

Amazon’s AWS division is hiring a Data Center Construction Manager to lead electrical and mechanical construction at data center sites. You will manage vendors, control costs, schedules, and quality while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.

You will interact with general contractors, drive constructability reviews, and maintain documentation and metrics across initiatives that improve data center resiliency and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience in delivering large-scale electrical/mechanical projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools and Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate with contractors and evaluate bids with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Lead construction projects to improve data center resiliency.
• Conduct constructability reviews for electrical and mechanical designs.
• Manage construction documents, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction project quality control.
• Record and report key construction metrics to team and management.
• Drive teams to troubleshoot and perform root-cause analyses of equipment failures.
• Lead the group and cross-functional teams supporting data centers.
