Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead scope, schedule, and budget for new data center builds. You will coordinate with Operations, Networking, Security, and Commissioning to deliver high-efficiency facilities that support customer needs.

The role requires experience managing large-scale electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, and excellent leadership on site. You will represent the owner on construction sites and drive cost, quality, and timelines

Qualifications

Experience in construction of data center delivery (design, commissioning and construction) or equivalent industrial facilities.
Experience building electrical engineering systems including large scale power distribution/generation gear.
Experience in managing large, complex construction projects (MEP) and program management.
Experience in project controls (cost and/or schedule) for infrastructure projects on-site and in preconstruction environments.

Responsibilities

Own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for construction of new builds or capital projects.
Lead construction project management and oversee construction-related activities.
Collaborate with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build data centers that support customers.
Represent owner on construction sites daily and interface with general contractors.
Drive cost, schedule, and quality management during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
Analyze and report construction progress and financials.
