Job summary

Just Construction Recruitment seeks a Director of Construction to lead site development, core and shell construction, and commissioning of large-scale data center builds across the US. You will drive end-to-end execution, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure delivery within schedule, budget, and quality targets for mission-critical infrastructure.

The role requires 10–12+ years in commercial construction with 5–7+ years in senior leadership, plus a proven track record delivering 20MW+

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field.
10–12+ years of commercial construction experience.
5–7+ years in a senior leadership role directly managing multi-megawatt data center or mission-critical builds.
Track record delivering large-scale data center projects (minimum 20MW+).

Responsibilities

Lead multi-disciplinary construction teams across data center developments from entitlement through commissioning.
Oversee concurrent build programs with heavy electrical and cooling topologies; manage budgets from $100M to $1B+.
Direct CPM schedules, risk mitigation plans, and ensure on-time delivery in fast-track environments.
Manage procurement and contracts with GC's, engineering firms, and vendors.
Coordinate with municipalities, utilities, and regulatory agencies; travel up to 30–50%.
