Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a Chief Engineer to lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring safe, efficient operation of all building systems and equipment. You will protect asset value and recommend operational improvements.

You will oversee maintenance programs, supervise staff, and develop plans for preventive and predictive maintenance while coordinating with the client and property team on safety, compliance, and capital upgrades.

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years of related engineering leadership experience, including chief or assistant chief engineer roles.
• 2+ years of experience managing an engineering/maintenance team.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and operation of building systems (fire/life safety, HVAC, electrical, lighting, controls).
• Supervise engineers and maintenance staff; hire, train, and develop team.
• Develop preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance plans.
• Identify safety hazards and implement remediation; enforce safety training.
• Coordinate with client and property team; respond to emergencies and service calls.
• Lead capital improvement planning and supervise contractors.
