TEKsystems is seeking detail-oriented Cable Technicians in Santa Clara, CA for large-scale data center cabling deployments. This contract role involves installing and managing 2,000+ pre-terminated cables connecting servers, network gear, and infrastructure, with a focus on accuracy and reliability.

The position requires hands-on work onsite in Santa Clara, with pay ranging from $30.00 to $42.00 per hour and comprehensive benefits where eligible.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and managing large volumes of pre-terminated cables in data center environments.
• Attention to detail and high accuracy with cable routing and labeling.
• Ability to follow port mapping and architecture documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install and route pre-terminated fiber and copper cables between network and server equipment.
• Handle long cable runs up to 50 meters or more.
• Insert and connect transceivers and properly seat cable connections.
• Follow detailed port mapping, labeling, and architecture documentation.
• Maintain organized cable management and labeling.
• Perform validation checks to ensure correct connectivity.
