Job summary

TEKsystems in San Francisco, CA is seeking an intermediate level Contract Data Center Technician for an onsite assignment. You will install, terminate, and label data center cabling, read blueprints, and perform copper and fiber testing and troubleshooting while maintaining orderly service paperwork.

Under supervision of senior technicians, you will assist with wiring, rack and stack tasks, and ensure safe, compliant data center operations while delivering reliable connectivity and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and terminating data center cabling.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Familiar with copper and fiber testing and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to maintain orderly paperwork on service jobs.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and label network cabling and equipment.
• Perform field terminations and testing using DSX 5000 and OTDR.
• Read and interpret floor plans and blueprints.
• Prepare mass labeling per Portmap and submit results to customers.
