Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Building Engineer for our Claude, TX data center on-site. You will manage 100% uptime of electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, generators, HVAC, chillers, and safety controls, while handling routine PMs and incidents.

Strong communication and CMMS skills are required to coordinate with vendors and customers. This role requires the ability to work on-site at a data center, traverse large campus-like settings, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a data center/critical facility.
• Experience with UPS, emergency generators, and switchgear.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office, Google Suite, and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems to ensure 100% up-time.
• Monitor operation and adjust refrigeration, chillers, HVAC, and electrical systems including backup power like UPS and generators.
• Manage work orders, CMMS, vendor management, and customer-facing tickets; follow emergency escalation procedures.
• Record readings and perform adjustments to ensure proper operation; maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Learn the data center site to manage incidents that threaten critical systems.
