Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking an Operating Engineer for our data center operations in Wilmer, TX. The role focuses on ensuring 100% uptime of electrical, mechanical, and support systems across UPS, MV electricals, generators, and cooling infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on data center experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage incidents while following safety procedures and department policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in data center/critical facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of UPS, generators, switchgear and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on building systems to ensure 100% uptime.
• Analyze operations, diagnose failures, and take corrective action.
• Manage work orders, CMMS, vendor relations, and customer tickets.
